It is made up of liquid hydrogen and helium and those two ingredients alone won´t make life. Jupiter doesn´t have a surface. Europa is the fourth largest moon of Jupiter. Jupiter's interior possesses an environment of pressures as great as three million times the sea-level pressure on earth, and temperatures as high as 10,000 degrees. Jupiter is made of mostly hydrogen and helium gas. Along with the forbidding temperature and pressure it is highly inlikely that life could have ever have formed there. However, scientists believe that water may have been present on Io early in its formation, and there is a possibility that some form of life may exist underground . Io is also bathed in huge amounts of radiation from Jupiter and there’s no evidence of any water. Scientists think that life may exist on Europa because there is evidence that liquid water may exist beneath its icy surface. Scientists have long held out hope that life might be found on Europa, a moon of Jupiter which has an ice cap like Earth's. We have seen no evidence of life on Jupiter and it seems that life as we know it would not be able to exist there. So, trying to land on it would be like trying to land on a cloud here on Earth. Europa is pushed and pulled by the high gravity of Jupiter as well as by the gravity of Jupiter's other moons. There is energy in the environment from lightning, ultraviolet light, and charged particles. There's no outer crust to break your fall on Jupiter. There seems to be one common thread for all of these diverse groups of people; however, where some may believe that life on other planets consists of little green men and others believe that life on other planets consists of human like beings, the common thread for each of these groups is the presence of intelligent life forms on a planet other than Earth. Overall, this environment sounds very unfriendly to life as we know it on earth. So no energy for life. It would also be extremely dark as no sunlight ets through the atmosphere.
